This is magnificent velvet. The very best 100% Rayon  thick plush Velvet available on the market today.  Its perfect for costuming and gowns.  

We use this same brand for our custom garments and have decided to auction some off to make some space in the stockroom for a huge shipment of winter and spring fabrics coming in. It is durable, dry cleanable and you can steam iron it on the backside.

Most fabric shops only carry Nylon Acetate or Rayon Acetate blends of velvet. Even silk velvet is not silk it is mixed with rayon (usually 3-18% silk to rayon) 

It is sold at $29  & up a yard  retail if you can find it in the stores.
