These coats do not fit the same as clothing today, they are more fitted and meant to be open in the front.  If you are unsure of what size to order, we recommend that to assure a proper fit you order a toile coat.  Toile's are  mock ups of garments that enable us to make personalized adjustments before the construction process is begun.  We make your toile from cotton muslin and send it to you with fitting instructions.  Because everyone is different this is the best method to insure the best possible fit which is critical because our items are custom made at the time of order and non returnable.  An exact toile fitting is an additional $75.

Options for Trim

We offer three levels of trimming for this coat:

  • Light trim:  trim at the neck, wrist cuffs, and pockets  (additional $99)

  • Medium trim:  as shown in photos, trim down the front of the coat, around the lower edges of the flaps, at the neck, wrist cuffs, and pockets   (additional $199)

  •  a jabot (ruffled neckpiece)  $75
  • cravat (long scarf apx. 3" wide you loop around the neck and tie with slipknot) at the neck ($55)
