Louis

Royalty at its finest, we have named it Louis.  Fashioned from paintings of the frock coats at Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV (the Sun King), we bring to you our version called Louis.  Made of 100% raw silk called Dupioni, this is one of our finest creations. The coat is fully lined and we add metallic embroideries in gold or silver tones. This heavily ornate frock coat takes over 60 hours of meticulous hand stitching to create the motifs for our "Louis" coat.

The breeches made in raw silk have decorative buttons in the front and are gusseted in back with lacing closure. Cuffs may be at the calf or below the knee and have decorative buttons on the side. Complete the "Louis" is the perfect grooms ensemble

For those who do not want short breeches and hosen we also offer long pants for an additional fee.

These coats do not fit the same as clothing today, they are more fitted and meant to be open in the front.  If you are unsure of what size to order, we recommend that to assure a proper fit you order a toile coat.  Toile's are  mock ups of garments that enable us to make personalized adjustments before the construction process is begun.  We make your toile from cotton muslin and send it to you with fitting instructions.  Because everyone is different this is the best method to insure the best possible fit which is critical because our items are custom made at the time of order and non returnable.  Toile prices depend on what garment is being fitted Louis Coat Toile $75
